I apologize for the delay in posting about more of our adventures in Seoul,….but the weekends here are exhausting and unfortunately we only get one weekend.

On Tuesday evening, our new friend Changwan took us into Sinchon for a wonderful dinner of Korean-style lettuce wraps and makgeolli so we could watch the Olympics together. We watched some Judo matches and got to see how the Koreans supported their country in the games.… Read the rest

Happy Friday from Seoul where I am writing to you from the future! We are so happy it is the weekend and are ready to make the most of our only/last weekend in Seoul. Tonight we are planning on visiting the National Theater of Korea for a free outdoor music and dance show outside at the cultural plaza, and then head over to Itaewan to check out the “Hof” – Korean bars and nightlife.… Read the rest

After a Wednesday night dinner in Sincheon, Shana, Jen, Candice and I were on our way back to the train station when a sign caught our eye – “Cat Café.” How cute, we thought – maybe its cat themed? However, upon closer inspection we realized that this café had more than just coffee or tea.… Read the rest

So you would think that after such a taxing day like Saturday, we would be ready for some R&R. Instead of taking a break, Candice and myself did the opposite. We hiked the highest mountain peak in all of Seoul. On the plane ride over, we looked through many guidebooks and learned that Seoul has a stunning National Forest with some intermediate hiking ranges.… Read the rest
