GSLIS West is the Western Massachusetts location of Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science program. We are located in the beautiful Pioneer Valley and serve students from MA, CT, VT, RI, NH, and NY.
We are a part time program with classes held on Saturday mornings and afternoons, as well as one Thursday evening course each semester. We support all GSLIS Master’s program concentrations, though depending on area of study, some students find it necessary to take courses in Boston. We offer an increasing number of online courses, which allow students more flexibility in scheduling and an increased selection of electives. GSLIS West is celebrated for our small class sizes, adjunct faculty who are local professional librarians, and close knit community.
