Internship, U.S. Attorney’s Office, Boston, MA

The United States Attorney’s Library, U.S. Dept. of Justice provides reference and research assistance to attorneys, law students, paralegals, agents and staff.  The Department of Justice Libraries have access to all major public electronic resources in addition to nonpublic databases.  Student assistants help with case investigation research and research for trial preparation.  Students also help with cataloguing and   updating our research portal on Sharepoint and updating our appeals database on ISYSS.  Students help with the office daily news alerts in health care fraud, economic crimes, public corruption and antiterrorism.

This is an unpaid position and may be full time or part time depending on the student’s schedule. A background investigation is required prior to beginning the internship. Previous students from the office now work as archivists for MIT,  Director of Technical Services for the State House Library, Director of  Knowledge Management for Bain, government consultant for Lexis/Nexis and research analyst for the endowment office at Beth Israel Hospital.
