Duties/Description: The Peabody Institute Library seeks a motivated,
qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Head of Children?s
Services. The Assistant Head is the primary assistant to the Head of
Children?s Services and assist with the oversight of all services and
programs serving children including supervision of staff and volunteers
assigned to Children?s Services. Duties include: program
development/execution, storytelling, collection development and promotion
of activities of the department. The Assistant Head provides customer
service to the public at large, including telephone inquiries, computer
assisted research and bibliographic instruction.

Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree (minimum). Master?s degree in Library
Science preferred. Three years of children?s library experience to include
working with children?s programming or any equivalent combination of
education or experience which demonstrates possession of required
knowledge, skills and abilities.

Salary: $39,799 to $50,741.
