15 hrs/wk
Mon-Fri 9 am–12noon and may have Saturday rotation

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required. A Bachelor’s Degree or coursework beyond high school is desirable.

Requires knowledge of basic computer operations, experience using the Internet, genuine interest in helping library patrons and providing excellent service, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent telephone manners, and organization and attention to detail

DUTIES:
· Responsible for overseeing public computers/Information Commons area
· Greets computer users
· Responds to basic inquiries about public computer and Internet use at Main Library
· Insures smooth transition from one computer/Information Commons user to the next
· Enforces basic computer/Information Commons rules as spelled out in policy for using public computers
· Performs routine maintenance, such as replacing toner cartridges and filling paper trays
· Provides basic instruction, such as how to enter a URL, where to plug in headphones
· Reports any malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
· Performs other tasks as time allows
· May perform functions related to circulation control
· Any other duties required by supervisor for the good of the department and the library

SALARY: $15.97 per hour to $19.06 per hour in five steps
