Responsibilities:
Library
Manage Corporate Library
Acquire new materials – samples, books, periodicals
Catalogue new books using Library of Congress classification
Catalogue samples and product information using CSI Masterformat
Update library databases
Weed library materials
Organize reference library
Organize/refile materials in product library
Assist professionals with reference questions
Assist professionals with information retrieval inquiries
Pass along relevant information to specific individuals (ie periodicals, newsletters, etc)
Sort through and process items for the library and archive
Conduct onsite research at Harvard University
Be actively involved in Boston Society of Architects – Information Resource Wizards committee
Form and maintain relationships with representatives from product manufacturers

Archive
Maintain Archived Materials Database using Microsoft Access – edit errors and update frequently
Archive and retrieve shop drawings, documents
Maintain Historic list of projects
Provide access to drawings and assist outside researchers with requests

IT
Index and retrieve hard copy Recordsets
Technical Quality Control
Attend TQC Meeting, contribute to discussion
Update Corporate Policies and Guidelines working closely with the Chair of the TQC Committee

Required Skills
Strong attention to detail
Outgoing, positive attitude, great customer service skills
Flexibility, willingness and ability to learn new things
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Access
Background or Education in Architecture/Art/Design preferred but not required

Required Experience
Master’s in Library and Information Science from an ALA-Accredited Institution
At least two years pre-professional experience in a library or archive setting
