Bishop Fenwick High School is a college preparatory Catholic high school for young men and women. We are seeking a librarian who demonstrates a passion for working with young adults, young adult literature and technological innovation, strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize work obligations and the capability to work effectively as part of a team. This person will contribute to the library space, both the physical and online environments; this person will be warm, and will be instructive to the students.

Qualifications:
• Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and be working towards a Masters in Library Science or a Library Media Specialist degree from an ALA-accredited institution and have some experience as a school librarian or a classroom teacher.
• Knowledge of information literacy concepts, competencies and best practices.
• Familiarity with information resources in a variety of formats.
• Demonstrated experience with online catalogs, internet searching, electronic databases, social networking application and developing curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal skills in outreach and collaboration with faculty.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Duties:
• Develops, delivers and evaluates course integrated information literacy/library instruction programs.
• Creates instruction materials for Bishop Fenwick students.
• Continues collaboration with faculty in assessing and introducing information literacy skills into academic course work.
• Assists with the development, evaluation maintenance and promotion of the library collection.
• Assists in cataloging and in the generation of reports
• Stays current with professional development and school issues by participating in school-wide committees.
• Supervise students and assists in circulation and reference questions.
• Responsible for ordering supplies.
• Assists students with photocopiers and aids in use of thirty-eight computers and two printers.

Hours are 7:45-2:50, M-F.
