Description: The Blackstone Public Library Board of Trustees is seeking a Library Director to manage all phases of library operations in a community centered facility serving a town of 8700 people located in the Blackstone Valley.

Candidates should have a strong commitment to public service, strong interpersonal skills and posses an understanding of town government and the municipal budget process.  Significant IT experience and a solid comprehension of existing and emerging technology is requisite.  Excellent oral and written communication skills, fiscal responsibility and the ability to effectively work with other town departments are vital to the role.

The director works in cooperation with the appointed board of library trustees.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program preferred along with a minimum of 3 years supervisory, budgetary and collection development experience in a public library setting.

Salary: $ 54,800
