The Auburn Public Library is seeking an outgoing, imaginative, energetic, tech-savvy librarian to serve as the Collaboration/Teen Librarian within the Adult Services Department.
We are looking for a creative individual who wants to help APL embrace the future. They will oversee Teen Services, be a lead collaborator in the community, be part of the technology leadership team, and provide friendly and helpful reference service. This full-time position is 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
MLS or 3-5 years library experience, preferably working with teens.
Experience providing Reference Service.
Computer skills, knowledge of Windows-based software, familiarity with social media and Internet experience are required. Experience with Mac software is a plus.
Candidate should be friendly, flexible, optimistic and enjoy working with the public.
Good planning and organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
Promote APL in the Community. Identify groups and agencies with congruent missions for development and implementation of collaborative ventures.
Oversee Teen Services including Teen Space, Collection and Programming.
Help to identify, develop and implement innovative programs and services, especially those involving technology.
Provide friendly and helpful reference services.
Serve as Adult Services Manager in the Managers absence.
Salary: $37,654 42,187
