| On July 11th, 2011, AERI, the Archival Education and Research Institute and Simmons GSLIS hosted AERI 2011, a week-long series of research and plenary sessions. This is part two of the first day of AERI, and includes introduction from Jeanette Bastian and an address from David Ferriero, the 10th Archivist of the United States. Confirmed as the nation’s archivist on November 6th, 2009, David Ferriero received his master’s degree in Library & Information Science from Simmons College and has worked at the New York Public Library as the Andrew W. Mellon Director of the New York Public Libraries. He has also worked at the academic libraries of Duke University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |
