Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

A couple week’s ago the blog had a post about the Kodak Fellowship in Film Preservation available through AMIA and now the GSLIS Jobs and Opportunities Blog is highlighting even more internships and scholarships from the Association.  First up, is the Internship at the Image Permanence Institute (IPI).  This internship is offered by IPI in cooperation with AMIA and offers interns a chance to spend 3 months at IPI in Rochester, NY learning about “the preservation of visual and other forms of recorded information.”  The internship offers a stipend and reimbursement of travel expenses.  More information is available on the GSLIS Jobs and Opportunities Blog or on AMIA’s website.   Applications are due by May 1st.

In addition to this great opportunity, AMIA is also offering four scholarships each in the amount of $4,000: the Mary Pickford Scholarship, the Sony Pictures Scholarship, The Rick Chace Foundation Scholarship, and the Universal Studios Preservation Scholarship.  More information is available on the GSLIS Jobs and Opportunities Blog and the application is available on the AMIA website.   Applications are due by May 1st.
