Jason Puckett is Communication Librarian and Assistant Professor at Georgia State University in Atlanta. He's the subject librarian for the Communication Department and works with instructional technologies, online teaching, and face-to-face classes. He received his MLIS from The Florida State University School of Library & Information Studies in 2008 and has worked in libraries since 1993. Jason was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker in 2010.
Jason is the author of Zotero: A Guide for Librarians, Researchers and Educators (2011) and a forthcoming book about library research guides (spring 2014), both from ACRL Publications. He speaks and writes about topics including library instruction, online research guides, podcasting, digital rights management, and open-source research tools. He was co-host and co-producer of the monthly Adventures in Library Instruction podcast from 2009-2012, and he blogs at Librarian X. He has lived in Thailand and in his spare time is a video gamer and fan of science fiction, comics and B-movies.
